Watch’d
A social platform for sharing, rating, and discovering what we’re all watching.

Watch’d
Overview
Watch’d is a mobile-first proof of concept social platform for sharing, rating, and discovering what people are watching across movies and TV. It combines real-time social activity with dynamic ratings and personalized watchlists, making entertainment feel communal, curated, and effortless.
Problem / Solution
Streaming services are fragmented. Discovery is often algorithm-driven, and sharing recommendations still happens informally across group chats, DMs, or word of mouth. There’s no centralized way to track what you watch, rate it, and see what your friends are watching in one place.
Watch’d provides a unified space to:
Log what you’re watching and rate it instantly
Follow friends, creators, and celebrities
Discover trending shows through a dynamic social feed
Build a watchlist that adapts with your viewing habits
See live, weighted ratings (0.1–5.0) evolve with community input
UX Considerations
Social-first design: Follows, feeds, and personal profiles foster engagement through familiarity.
Live feedback loop: Ratings update in real time as more users rate, creating momentum and trust.
Dark mode UI: Designed for extended viewing use cases, binge sessions, and late-night scrolling.
Scalable system: Built with modular components, reusable patterns, and clear hierarchy to support future growth (comments, reactions, etc.).
Low-friction input: Rating, saving, and sharing are all achievable in just a few taps.
