This report, titled Mobilizing the Future, was designed for the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) to showcase key industry achievements, advocacy efforts, and safety initiatives. The deliverable served as a cornerstone communication piece for stakeholders and policymakers, reinforcing the industry’s national impact and forward-thinking mission.
Problem / Solution
The USTMA needed a visually engaging and professionally structured report to distill complex industry data and messaging into an accessible format for a wide range of audiences — including government agencies, environmental advocates, and industry leaders. It had to be both informative and persuasive.
The solution was a vibrant and cohesive editorial layout that:
Highlighted key statistics, mission statements, and quotes with clear typographic hierarchy.
Incorporated branded colors and infographics to bring clarity to complex data.
Balanced formal structure with energetic visuals to reflect innovation and national relevance.
Design Considerations
Strategic Content Framing: Key figures (e.g., $27B in annual sales, 100K jobs) were emphasized to immediately communicate scale and economic importance.
Branded Infographics: Data points and industry metrics were visualized to increase engagement and retention.
Strong Visual Identity: Consistent use of USTMA’s color palette and iconography reinforced the organization’s professionalism and credibility.
Editorial Clarity: Designed for both print and digital reading, layouts used modular sections and bold callouts to guide the reader efficiently.
