Overview

TekDash is a mobile app designed to connect users with on-demand tech support professionals. As part of its early visual identity development, the brand needed a modern, tech-savvy logo and a welcoming splash screen that clearly communicated its digital service focus. This project focused on building a recognizable mark and an interface-friendly introduction screen.

Problem / Solution

With no existing branding system, the challenge was to create a visual identity that felt fast, professional, and tech-forward without overwhelming early users.

This was achieved through:

• A bold wordmark logo crafted by modifying a typeface in Adobe Illustrator for custom flair and brand distinction

• Emphasizing movement and energy by integrating a subtle "dash" motif into the letterforms

• Designing a minimalist splash screen using a background grid of light outlined icons representing various tech devices

• Creating a high-contrast, scalable system that looked sharp across devices and screen sizes

Design CONSIDERATIONS

Logo readability: Balanced strong typography with sleek customization to ensure clarity and memorability.

Brand energy: The red accent and slanted letterforms evoke speed and support the app’s on-demand nature.

Visual onboarding: The splash screen introduces users with subtle, relevant imagery while keeping focus on the logo.

Mobile-first polish: Design decisions were guided by real device previewing to ensure crisp rendering and visual balance on modern screens.
