Windows & Mirrors Gala
Elegant, era-inspired print collateral for a community gala and fundraising event.

Windows & Mirrors Gala
Overview
For the annual Windows & Mirrors gala hosted by North Ridge Country Club, I was tasked with creating a cohesive suite of print materials that reflected the event’s 1920s-inspired theme while clearly communicating a packed evening schedule, sponsor recognition, and acknowledgments. The result was a polished set of handouts blending vintage motifs with a modern visual structure.
Problem / Solution
Events with dense agendas and multiple acknowledgment needs often suffer from cluttered, hard-to-follow designs. This was especially true for print materials that had to convey times, speaker details, sponsors, and thank-yous — all while reinforcing the gala’s distinct theme.
The solution prioritized:
A vertically stacked, time-based layout for easy scanning of the evening’s flow
Hierarchical typography to separate schedule, speaker notes, and sponsor content
Custom event branding (including eye iconography and 1920s-style accents) to unify the materials
Thoughtful print formatting with alignment and spacing optimized for readability at arm’s length
Design CONSIDERATIONS
Time clarity: Time markers were bolded and aligned consistently, helping attendees glance and orient quickly.
Sponsor equity: Logos and name tiers were grouped and styled to reflect contribution levels while maintaining visual harmony.
Theme immersion: Decorative elements and type choices were inspired by early-century posters, reinforcing a cohesive atmosphere.
Print-safe formatting: Design respected trim margins and ensured ink contrast and legibility for dim-lit banquet settings.
Scalable layout system: Components like the event agenda and volunteer list were built with modular spacing to accommodate future years’ content shifts.
